Verizon’s Consumer Video Product Deployment Management (PDM) Team takes a “Hands-on” Approach to Impacting the Community.

Verzon's Employees Taking a Hands-On Approach to Impacting the Community and Making a Difference

The Video PDM team recently spent a half day lending a hand to The Community Food Bank of New Jersey to prepare sandwiches for the Homeless Coalition. Completing the day with 1400 sandwiches, the team felt great about the experience.

“The team did such a fabulous job representing Verizon in the Community,” states Cissy George, executive director of the Global Network Support and Systems (GNSS) group about her team.


“The Community Food Bank’s Mission of NJ is to fight hunger and poverty by assisting those in need and seeking long-term solutions.  Our team volunteered at the food bank to make over 1400 sandwiches to support a charity event.  Actively giving back to the community allows us to make a difference by helping others and reminds us to be grateful”, said Jamie Cahalane, director of the Video PDM team.


The Community Food Bank of New Jersey is a member of Feeding America, the nation’s largest network of food banks. It currently distributes 40 million pounds of food annually to more than 1,000 non-profit programs. The organization impacts 18 New Jersey counties and its mission is to feed 900,000 hungry people.
