In the wake of the devastating Colorado wildfires, Kacey Lane, Business Analyst, Global Client Services, Verizon Enterprise Solutions in Highlands Ranch, Colorado is leading the efforts to collect items to support relief workers and displaced families in the surrounding areas.

Kacey and eight of her colleagues have set up collection bins where employees can drop off items.  So far they have collected an assortment of products ranging from various snacks and crackers and cases of bottled water to shampoo and conditioners and even dog food and pet treats over the past several weeks.  Items will be distributed to local organizations such as the Pikes Peak Humane Society and the Care and Share Food Bank.

The state of Colorado has been particularly hard hit, with 10 wildfires currently raging, including the Waldo Canyon fire, which has forced the temporary closing of Verizon’s facility at 2424 Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs.
