Delaware Educators and Students Benefit From Thinkfinity.org
Eight-thousand classroom teachers in Delaware will receive new professional development opportunities and will train to use the free educational resources on Verizon Foundation's Thinkfinity.org, as a result of a $50,000 grant to the Delaware Center for Educational Technology (DCET).
Verizon Foundation has invested a total of $130,000 to help DCET provide innovative online resources and professional development for teachers throughout the state.
"We are pleased to continue our relationship with Verizon as a Thinkfinity partner for a second year," said Secretary of Education Lillian Lowery. "We have made great strides toward our goal of making every Delaware educator aware of the free, high-quality Web resources available through Thinkfinity.org."
"Our world is continually changing, but with the constant updates and expansion of Thinkfinity.org teachers throughout Delaware have instant access to a constant flow of new educational materials," said William Allan, president of Verizon Delaware. "We are proud to partner with DCET to bring these outstanding, free resources to the teachers and students of Delaware."
