Verizon Foundation announces $100,000 RFP for Massachusetts Non-Profits

The Verizon Foundation has recently announced a Domestic Violence Solutions Request for Proposal (RFP) in their efforts towards domestic violence prevention and awareness. The RFP invites Massachusetts non-profit organizations to apply for a total of $100,000 in grants to support domestic violence prevention programs and services.

In the past three years, the Verizon Foundation has awarded grants to over 30 non-profit organizations in Massachusetts, and this year 10 grants of $10,000 will be provided. The 2010 Verizon Foundation Domestic Violence Solutions Awards will continue to support and improve programs that aid survivors of domestic violence and focus on prevention, awareness, and safety.

“Through our grant giving, we provide the financial, technical and human expertise organizations need to focus on education, prevention, victim relief and empowerment,” said Donna Cupelo, Verizon region president of New England.

Massachusetts non-profit organizations are invited to apply by Friday, July 23rd. For more information on the RFP, please go to
