New Jersey Domestic Violence Non-Profits Invited to $150k in Grant Opportunities from the Verizon Foundation
The Verizon Foundation recently announced a $150,000 Request for Proposal (RFP) for New Jersey non-profit 501(c)(3) organizations that are dedicated to domestic violence prevention, awareness and recovery. These funds will support technology programs and efforts to improve the quality of life for victims of domestic violence.
"As a major employer and corporate citizen across New Jersey, Verizon cares deeply about the communities we serve," said Dennis M. Bone, president of Verizon New Jersey. "By supporting domestic violence prevention programs, we can help raise awareness of this issue and improve the safety of families in our communities."
The goal of this Verizon Foundation grant opportunity is to give non-profit organizations in underserved communities located in rural, suburban, and inner-city regions the opportunity to enhance their technology programs. The effort will ultimately increase the knowledge of domestic violence in each community, enhance strategies for safety and job training for victims, and improve programs that educate on prevention and awareness.
All applications must be submitted by September 3 through the Verizon Foundation's website, www.verizonfoundation.org/apply, using the invitation code, VZNJDV. Additional grant guideline information can also be found on the Foundation's website. Grant recipients will be notified by October 8.
